Instructor/Trainer
I LOVE being able to find a niche that allows me to relate to the student (whether it is a college student or a faculty member) and learning how I can best utilize their specific learning style in order for them to succeed. I often ask my faculty, “Do you want to drive or do you want to watch and have me drive (the mouse).” This gives them more control of the situation and often makes them more comfortable with something they were nervous about initially. They are the subject matter experts and I assist them in the development of their online presence.
I have taught a variety of courses in multiple modalities and continue to teach online. As an instructor and designer, I have worked in various LMS platforms including WebCT, Blackboard, Canvas and Jenzabar eLearning. In addition, I developed two courses for Jefferson College (Social Media Marketing and Internet Marketing) and continue to teach both classes online for the college. Serving on a local community college Accounting and Business Management Advisory Board also helps me stay informed of business needs in the area.

After completing my Associate of Arts degree at a local community college, I obtained both my Bachelor’s degree and Master’s degree as an online student. In addition, my doctoral program employed a variety of teaching methods including seated, online and hybrid courses.
